None of us would choose to go to the Dentist, but it’s a necessary part of life if we are to keep our oral health in good condition.
There may be many anxieties associated with visits to the dentist, such as fear of needles, over active gag reflex, fear of pain, just fear of seeing the dentist. All these things can make it very miserable when those six monthly check ups come around.
Together we will explore exactly where the core of your fear actually lies. I will teach you some relaxation techniques that you can use as early as sitting in the waiting room or before, and then when you’re in the dentists’ chair; using these alone can ease pain. We may do some visualisation and then some hypnosis to help you overcome your anxiety and make your visits to the dentist less of a trial.
